French Fries Day is just a small acknowledgement for this beautiful personification of love, warmth and tenderness into golden sticks harvested from potato corpses.
Like most people, I have a huge soft spot for French fries. If someone puts a plate of fries in front of me, it’s impossible for me to say no. After falling in love with gourmet French fries from restaurants throughout New York, I decided to recreate some of them at home using simple pantry ingredients.
One of the most loved finger food by kids and adults alike! French fries make snacking look good. They are easy to eat as well as easy to cook. Thinly sliced potatoes are deep-fried till they're crisp on all sides and then sprinkled with salt, pepper or really any seasoning of your choice. The best part about french fries is that you can pair them with just anything from burgers, pizzas or enjoy it as is with a side of tomato ketchup. You can have french fries as a side during breakfast, mid-meal or evening snacks with tea.

Now let's discuss about the cooking procedure *secret* that how the french fries are made without double frying.
So first we need to sort out the ingredients which we need for making a crispy french fry.
INGREDIENTS:-
  1. Potato (2 medium sized).
  2. Oil for deep frying.
  3. Salt ( as per taste).
  4. Chaat Masala
So you can already see how simple the ingredient list is so sort out these ingredients first.

Now let us discuss about the procedure

1. We need to Clean the Potatoes first. Then peel it. I like the peeled texture of fries. And it becomes smooth and Creamy.

2. So now we need cut the potatoes in long fry shapes. You can also use the french fry cutter. I used normal knife to cut those potatoes.

3. After Cutting the Potatoes we need to wash and change it's water for several times. This process will ensure that there are no starch left. I changed the water for about 5  times. And this process makes the fries crispy from outside and soft from inside.

4. After changing the water for several times. Parboil them for 10 Minutes on low heat. Add plenty amount of salt in it. This process draws out the remaining starch and remember we have to parboil them on low heat only. Otherwise the fries won't be crispy.

5. After 10 minutes you can that the starch of the potatoes will start to accumulate o top.

6. Then turn off the Flame and take them out in a plate and and let them dry for a little bit. I placed them under a Fan so they can dry quickly. After they are dried properly then put them into freezer for at least 30 min.

7. After that take them out and start frying. And if you can then you can double fry it. But single frying them also gives good crispy fries. Take a deep pan or wok if you can use iron pan. It heats evenly. And put enough oil so the fries can be dipped.
