Today I am going to share my DIY version of the famous bengali recipe.. CHANA POTOL...
Now the Ingredients:-
- POTOL/ POINTED GOURD (200 GM)
- PANNER / CHANA / CREAM CHEESE (200 GM)
- OIL ( 2 TBSPN)
- BAY LEAF (2)
- RED CHILI
- FENUGREEK SEED / METHI ( A PINCH)
- SALT * AS PER TASTE
- GREEN CHILIES *AS PER YOUR TASTE BUT KEEP IT MILD
- TURMERIC POWDER
- JEERA POWDER
- GARAM MASALA
- NOW COMES THE TRICKY PART... TO MAKE CREAM CHEESE I MADE A PASTE OUT OF CANNED PANNER...
NOW THE PROCESS:-
- Heat the oil..add bay leaf and dried red chili... and add fenugreek and jeera seeds into it..
- Now add the POTOL/ pointed Gourd into the pan and also add Turmeric powder and Salt with green chilies and cook them for 3 min with it's lid covered.
- Then also add the Garam Masala and Fry it for little bit. and there you have your CHANA POTOL ready.
